Clean Cities – Georgia is proud to spotlight our Diamond Member, Georgia Power. A supporter of the coalition since its founding in 1993, and the state’s leading electric utility serving 2.4 million customers, Georgia Power is leading the charge (pun intended!) for electric transportation in Georgia. Through its Electric Transportation Program, Georgia Power has continued its commitment to introducing products and services which meet the changing needs of customers, including an increasing interest in electric vehicles (EVs) and electric transportation options. The program includes EV charger incentives for residential and business customers. With Georgia Power, business customers may be eligible for a $500 rebate for the purchase and installation of a Level 2 Charger. Residential customers may qualify for a $250 rebate for each new residential charger purchased and installed. Residential customers also have custom rate options to save even more when charging their EVs at home.
Clean Cities – Georgia applauds Georgia Power for leading by example. In addition to the rebate programs, Georgia Power is rolling out dozens of public charging stations across the state in the coming months and supporting its own employees’ efforts to drive electric vehicles through the installation of workplace chargers at 20 different company locations. The commitment does not stop there. Georgia Power has also initiated a public education campaign to help increase awareness of electric vehicles and is working with automotive dealers to provide energy-related information to customers interested in purchasing electric vehicles.
